Meeting others who care for those with ATTR amyloidosis

Amyloidosis UK trustee Vince Nicholas relates the long and challenging journey following his hATTR amyloidosis diagnosis for both himself and his wife. He emphasises how important it is as a carer to seek out and connect with the wider community of carers out there for mutual support and understanding. Vince also talks about how important it has been for him to talk with others who have amyloidosis, 1 to 1 on a casual basis. Being able to speak to those who have been living with the condition for years helps you realise that you are not alone, that you can talk through the nitty gritty of symptoms in ways that most doctors can’t.

Having been diagnosed with hATTR amyloidosis himself, Vince is an expert in patient support and the services available to you and/or your loved ones.
