Introducing our collaboration with Patient First Research

October 7, 2026

Research plays an incredibly important role in improving understanding, treatment and care for people affected by amyloidosis, and the experiences of patients and caregivers are central to that.

We’re therefore delighted to be working with Patient First Research, a UK healthcare research community, to make it easier for our members to hear about and take part in relevant market research opportunities. In fact, the first of these opportunities is already available. You’ll find details of our Patient Experience Study, and a link to take part, below.

Through Patient First Research, you’ll have one familiar, easy-to-use place to access research opportunities, understand exactly what’s involved and receive support throughout the process. You’ll also be fairly rewarded for your time when taking part. You can choose to keep your earnings or, if you wish, donate some or all of them to Amyloidosis UK or another participating charity.

Participation is always completely voluntary, and you’ll be able to decide which opportunities are right for you. Above all, this collaboration is designed around you: creating a simpler, supported and consistent research experience while helping ensure the voices of people affected by amyloidosis continue to be heard.

We’re also really excited that the Patient First Research team will be joining us at our upcoming Patient Information Day in Liverpool on 15th November, having already joined us at our Glasgow Patient Day in September.

It will be a great opportunity to meet the team, learn more about Patient First Research and the collaboration, ask any questions you may have, and discover how you can get involved in future research opportunities.

There are still places available for the Liverpool Patient Day so please do register via the button below if you haven’t already and are able to come. It is 100% free. We look forward to seeing you there!

Patient Experience Study

We’re currently inviting people living with amyloidosis to take part in an online survey being run by Patient First Research on behalf of Amyloidosis UK.

The survey will explore your experiences of living with amyloidosis and gives you another opportunity to ensure the voices and experiences of people affected by the condition are heard.

✓ Online survey

✓ 10–15 minutes

✓ £15 thank-you payment

If you’d like to take part, simply click the button below to register and access the study.
