In November 2025, we hosted a Patient Information Day to coincide with the launch of the new Midlands Amyloidosis Service in Birmingham.
The event was an incredible success. Demand for tickets exceeded expectations, and we upgraded to a larger conference room at short notice to accommodate more attendees. In total, 110 people joined us, travelling from across the country, including Cambridge and Bristol.
The day provided an invaluable opportunity for patients and families to connect, share experiences, and feel part of a wider community.

Attendees heard from leading experts about the latest developments in understanding and treating amyloidosis. We also hosted informal breakout sessions, including:
- A dedicated session for caregivers
- “Ask the Doctor” Q&A
- An interactive session to help shape the development of the Midlands Service
We received excellent feedback from participants and are looking forward to hosting more events like this throughout 2026 and beyond.

Were there any recordings at the Edgbaston event that we can listen to?

Hi Peter, I’m afraid there weren’t this time. We are looking to record audio and video at future events.
